What's up everyone! I haven't been on this board in over three months. I checked a few times but seems we had some problems keepin' this board up.
Well, my Nitto 555's have gone to hell and my car's ready for a new pair of shoes. I'm hearing mad raves about the Azenis. My little brother has them on his Si. He recently took up autocrossing (and as I'm told, loving every minute of every meet) and bought a pair. He loves the tires as well.
Some have pointed me towards Toyo's TS-1, but with all the excitement surrounding the Falkens, I'm not sure I want to spend $130 a tire just yet. I'm also curious about Yok's Parada Spec 2's. Tecnology of gimmicky?
I was set to get the Falkens but was wondering if they'd be really squirmy in the rain. All the manufacturers say they produce these tires with dry and wet traction in mind, but you know those pesky guys.
I'd appreiate it if anyone would chime in with opinions with any info regarding their wet traction abilities. I am aware that some of these models are new and it's summer, but if you have some info...
It feels like I'm back home from a long vacation. Thanks!

Good timing... I just drove 100 miles in the rain to an autocross that was rainy on Falken Azenis.
Keeping in mind I never saw enough water to worry about hydroplaning, the Azenis were fine in the wet. Not at all squirelly on the highway and great performing on the wet auto-x course.
I'm sure they would hydroplane like a bitch in heavier rain/water, but they have great wet traction.
BTW, it seemed like half the cars at the auto-x were running Falken Azenis.
I'm very happy with them and recommend them to anyone who can look out at heavy rain and say, "I'll take the beater today".

I have been running the T1-S's for about 6 months on my Type R. They are awesome in wet or dry(havent tested snow because it usually stays home on those days). I would recommend spending the extra money on the T1-S's, but shop around because you may be able to drop about $150-200.
My 2 cents.

Thanks G-money for the advice. That's exactly the info I needed. I asked only because the Falkens I had about 5 years ago (forget which line) squirmed, literally pulling the steering wheel when I'm over a puddle. Braking in the wet was equally disappointing. Simply, they sucked. It seems everyone and their mommas are wrapping Azenis to their wheels for the X.

I run a set of Falken Ziex ZE-502s and I am pleased with thier wet/dry performance - of course I don't have a hugh tration problem as alot of the other guys on the board - Only running a D16Y with all the usual stuff ...
But they did real good in the last rain we had... alot better then the Nitto450s I took off.
